SKC has a student-housing department. It is located in the Charlot Building on the west side of campus. SKC has a limited number of housing units available, a total of 55 units in all, and they are located on the east side of campus. The one, two, three and four bedroom units are within walking distance of all classes on campus. Student housing is very popular with the students because it is close to campus and affordable.

Applications for housing are received and processed on a first-come first-serve basis. The size of the unit is based upon the student’s needs. Those students not receiving a unit may be placed on a waiting list, or may check the housing board for any unit that become available during the school year. A student on the waiting list will be considered for a unit each summer prior to the start of the new year. 

Dormitory housing is available at this time.Under this type of housing each student has their own bedroom but share the bathroom and the common areas with the other students.

The Housing Department also provides a referral service for off campus housing. It is a database of rentals in the surrounding area. It is important that housing arrangements be secured prior to the student’s arrival on campus. SKC has no last minute or emergency housing available.
